(PRWeb UK) August 3, 2010

Mascus, one of the premiere names for the sale of construction machinery, agricultural equipment, industrial vehicles and forestry, has forged ahead into expanding their European market by teaming up with Italy’s leading automotive online classified company, Automobili.com, owned by RCS Digital SpA

Mascus, renowned across the globe for providing the most effective platform for buyers and sellers looking to purchase used heavy equipment, has been waiting for the right opportunity to open their Italian operation. They now have coverage across 32 countries in Europe, along with offices in USA, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand making them by far the largest outlet for purchasing and selling used equipment, used trucks and transportation vehicles. The industrial core of Europe is now fully serviced by Mascus, promoting international trade and building confidence in the market.

Valued product

“The endorsement and support of such a big and well-known media player shows that Mascus is a valued product,” says Fredrik Larsson, Mascus Management Director “The value this partnership brings with Automobili.com; Italian market expertise, plus the advantage of being part of the major RCS publishing group and its online network, will help us not only establish a firm base in the country, but also allow us to reach more local customers,” he adds.

Their partners also see the huge benefits of the relationship and are delighted to be working with Mascus. “Italy is still one of the most important centres for industry and agriculture in Europe, with a big potential in terms of companies involved in heavy machinery market” explains Domenico Errico, Head of Automobili.com. “We believe that our own experience in running classified portals, our knowledge of the local market and Mascus’ superb reputation as an international operation makes this partnership a strong one that will open up a whole new market for Italian businesses,” he adds.

Automobili.com is one of the leading automotive online classified and is part of RCS Group, the biggest publishing house in Italy owner of the two major national newspapers (Corriere della Sera, Gazzetta dello Sport) in addiction to websites, magazines, books, radios, TV channels and partworks businesses. Its importance is considerable, and Mascus see the partnership as one of their most important to date. Mascus Italy will give Italian businesses access to an extensive database of customers as part of their worldwide network, and they foresee the partnership with Automobili.com as giving a new audience access to that database.

Benefits for all

Users will be able to reap the benefits of being able to buy and sell across international borders, with only one input for 35 languages. Products available will include trucks, trailers, forklifts, excavators, diggers andtractors for sale. “It means that our Italian customers will gain the benefit of selling machinery across borders, particularly with neighbouring countries,” adds Domenico Errico “This means that, as the entire continent starts to emerge from the recession, the partnership will strengthen trade both locally and internationally, giving companies access to a much larger customer database,” he adds.

Mascus has ridden the global recession well, seeing its business expand across the globe, putting buyers and sellers in touch and enabling trade to continue, despite tough economic conditions. “Our major selling point is just how international our clientele base is,” explains Rickard Petersson, Sales Director of Mascus. “As we look towards the next decade, providing a thriving marketplace for businesses across the world to meet and exchange details on some of the best equipment available will benefit not just our operation, but hundreds of other businesses around the world. It is this positive approach that we need to reinvigorate the economy,” he concludes.

(THE WALL STREET JOURNAL) - CVS Caremark Corp. (CVS) is bouncing back from a rocky “selling season” last year that led to billions of dollars in lost accounts, thanks to a honed marketing message and competitive pricing in its pharmacy benefit management business.

Even before this week’s coup–the announcement that CVS Caremark had reached a 12-year agreement to administer Aetna Inc.’s (AET) in-house pharmacy benefits operation–the company was winning high marks from benefit consultants and landing significant clients.

“Comparing CVS Caremark this year to CVS Caremark last year, they did a complete 180 in a good way,” said John Malley, eastern region pharmacy practice leader at Towers Watson & Co. (TW).

The company and its pharmacy-benefit-manager peers Medco Health Solutions Inc. (MHS) and Express Scripts Inc. (ESRX) compete annually for large, multi-year contracts to provide services to employers and health plans. Unlike its largest rivals, CVS Caremark, formed in a 2007 merger, is a hybrid PBM and drugstore chain.

Chairman and Chief Executive Thomas Ryan said this week that, excluding the new Aetna contract, CVS has won $1.2 billion gross and $350 million net new business for 2011 and enjoys a more-than-98% client retention rate.

Late last year, the company disclosed it had lost some $4.8 billion in PBM business for 2010, citing several factors, including marketing missteps in which CVS representatives focused too heavily on emphasizing the role of the company’s drug stores. This renewed doubts among critics of the merger and industry watchers about the company’s retail-PBM business model.

The company has turned the message around on the synergies between retail and the PBM, telling potential customers this year that CVS could help Caremark save them money and effectively manage their drug plans–if it makes sense for the client–”and as a result they’ve been very competitive this year, at least with our book of business,” Malley said.

London, UK (PRWeb UK) July 22, 2010

To date, global brands including Burger King, Virgin Atlantic, AOL, Diageo, Nokia, Toyota and Hewlett Packard have taken part in the research with in-depth interviews. GyroHSR’s latest call to action is aimed at gaining the views of marketers from as broad a spectrum of industries as possible. To take part in the survey, go to: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/agency30.

Richard Perry, COO, GyroHSR comments: “With this study we really want to get under the skin of what clients want from their agency and what the agencies need to do to get there. Agency 3.0 will be published later this year and will provide great insight into the agency model of the future, which in turn will be an invaluable tool for today’s marketer.”

(PRESS OF ATLANTIC CITY) - Burnishing Atlantic City’s reputation as a gaming powerhouse and an oceanside attraction is essential if Gov. Chris Christie’s administration wants to give the resort a fighting chance against a bleak economy and increased casino competition, marketing experts say.

But how can the state effectively energize Atlantic City? Would a total rebranding do the job or should the city simply flaunt its unique assets: the beach, the Boardwalk and diverse entertainment? Should it try harder to live up to its “Always Turned On” attitude or go more family-friendly?

If any plan to reinvigorate Atlantic City is going to work, marketers say, this much is certain: There must be a clear message for potential visitors.

“The challenge is, especially in destination marketing, that you have so many people at the table and it’s difficult in narrowing who and what you are,” said Drew McClellan, owner of McLellan Marketing Group in Des Moines, Iowa, and author of “99.3 Random Acts of Marketing.” “When you can say a city and someone can repeat a response, and a majority has that response, then you have done your job. But it means that everyone around the table has to agree that their focus is that one thing.”

Christie’s announcement Wednesday that he wants the state to oversee Atlantic City’s casino-entertainment district and form a new “clean and safe” Tourism District has been well-received by local lawmakers and casino executives. His goal, with approval from the state Legislature, would be to create the district in a year and boost marketing of the resort from the current $4 million limit.

Signs Express looks at the numerous business potential in Nottingham and the surrounding area.

(PRWeb UK) June 23, 2010

If you are looking for business opportunities in Nottingham, the area can hold endless potential with lots of businesses for sale as well as numerous money making opportunities there for the taking. However, starting your own business can be a turbulent and stressful time so before making any decisions it’s important to thoroughly research all business opportunities in the area.

A Nottingham franchise such as Signs Express is one such avenue where you can start a brand new business, be your own boss and make money; but all with the safety of an already established brand, proven business model and with support along the way.

As the UK and Ireland’s largest signs franchise providing all types of signage - including exterior signs ie shop fascias; interior signs; vehicle graphics; window graphics; banners and health and safety signs - working in the B2B sector means that there are no customer constraints, after all every business needs signs and graphics in some shape or form.

The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area in particular is abundant with customer potential and money making opportunities. Centrally-based with easy access to the M1, Nottingham is well known as a hive of activity through leading big industry names such as Boots the Chemist, Experian and E-On as well as Nottingham University. With particular emphasis on economic growth and development in financial and business services, science and technology, public sector and retail and leisure, the key customer base is already on your doorstep making it a flourishing centre of activity for local business opportunities.

Signs Express customers can therefore stretch from the public sector, local councils such as Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, professional clients such as solicitors and architects as well as a vast range of small mobile businesses through to industrial and commercial enterprises in many sectors and divisions.

Signs Express currently has 80 centres nationwide www.signsexpress.co.uk/franchise, however, there are still a number of greenfield businesses for sale which are ripe for the picking throughout the UK. The Nottingham franchise opportunity is one particular location Signs Express is looking to recruit as there is currently no presence in the Nottinghamshire area; it therefore holds endless opportunities for you to start in franchising; buy your own business and to become your own boss.

As part of an already established brand, the process of setting up a franchise in Nottingham is made so much easier www.signsexpress.co.uk/franchise/becomingafranchisee.cfm. As well as including working capital the overall fee to become part of the Signs Express franchise includes help finding premises; unit fit out with everything from printing machinery and computers through to desks and signage materials; help researching the local Nottinghamshire market along with providing business data; marketing literature and merchandise and help recruiting (Nottingham jobs are currently in demand the same as everywhere else); as well as training in accounts, marketing and technical processes to get started.

With this there are much more business opportunities with faster financial rewards. Through the help available a new Signs Express franchise looks to break even in the first year, receive dividends of £20,000 in year two and £40,000 in year three. In fact, well established franchisees are turning over £1m a year and some longstanding franchisees have recently been celebrating reaching £5m invoiced sales mark.

As a management signage franchise, prospective franchisees require no industry experience as full training is provided and sign making staff will be appointed to work in this case in the Nottingham franchise production unit. Your skills will be based on your own management and sales experience and your ability to lead a team. Ongoing support www.signsexpress.co.uk/franchise/support.cfm is available from sales and marketing, accounts, IT, HR, operations and technical as well as initial training to learn more about technical aspects and business techniques.

Amazon was the most visible advertiser in paid search for entertainment products overall; however, its 69% share of visibility in April was a 4% drop on January’s level. In addition, with a 62% share of voice, Game just managed to pip Amazon to the post to become the most visible advertiser for gaming consoles & games in April;

HMV was the star riser in terms of visibility for both natural and paid search (integrated search). In paid search, its visibility increased by 36% and in natural search it increased its share of voice by 11%;

Although Amazon did not have an official UK Twitter page, it had an account dedicated to gaming consoles specifically, with a total of 250 ‘followers’. Game had an affiliated Twitter account, Game_Offers, which promoted special offers and latest product releases to a following of 1,151 consumers overall;

Signs Express (Peterborough) applies its specialist design skills to help with Conders Garage’s latest promotion of the Isuzu Rodeo brand.

(PRWeb UK) July 1, 2010

Having completed work for Conders Garage in the past, the Peterborough signs and graphics company was asked to help with its plans to promote the Isuzu Rodeo which would be used at several shows in the coming months.

The brief was to produce vehicle graphics in the style of a previous Isuzu Rodeo vehicle which was used in the Dakar Rally by Isuzu in Australia. The Peterborough team used a range of vinyls to recreate the design including Avery cast vinyl printed on MD5 with clear laminate and also Mactac cast vinyl, these were then applied to the Rodeo as a partial wrap.

Signs Express (Peterborough) owner Anne Hitch commented on the project: “When we were asked to produce the graphics there were no quality images available so we had to work from old photographs to recreate the UK version of the Australian vehicle. This involved re-designing the layout to include the UK flag rather than Australian; changing the colours to red, white and blue; and also adding sponsorship logos and replacing Dakar Rally references with Conders. It was a challenge, especially as some of the angles of the vehicles are slightly complicated for wrapping purposes, but we were happy to be given the challenge.”

The campaign which involves the Isuzu Rodeo travelling to different regions in the UK to promotional shows, will help both Conders and Isuzu (UK) promote both the vehicle and the Isuzu brand.

Dealer principal at Conders Garage, Ian Armstrong spoke highly of the Signs Express centre: “We have just completed a three day show in the East of England and the graphics really did create a great deal of interest and encouraged people to visit our stand. We’ve used Signs Express for the past three years and have always found their work first class so I knew that Anne would be up to the challenge of replicating the graphics from just a few low-res images.”

Signs Express (Peterborough) is part of the UK and Ireland’s largest sign and graphics franchise with 80 centres nationwide. Providing signs and graphics to its local B2B community, the Peterborough signage specialist can produce, print and install interior and exterior signs, vehicle and window graphics, banners and exhibition displays as well as health and safety signs and labels and stickers.
